Before the night started I was making predictions with Ben (part of the turn 2 army) and we agreed that the Steamers were looking strong.
I secretly wanted the Hard Knockers to win and I even found myself cheering for Finnish her from time to time.  However, we didn’t know that the Steamers were going to dominate them so badly.  The bout started off with a subtle but strong lead by the steamers.  It wasn’t long before the lead expanded to a point where it was difficult for the Hard Knockers to catch up.  One of the main reasons was the penalties incurred by the Knockers.  This not only made their remaining players on the track work harder, but it really hurt their chances to catch up.  I saw the jammers and blockers in the box over and over again which obviously didn’t give them an advantage.  This also made it easier for the Steamers offense to match their strong defense and rack up major points.  I was really impressed with the intensity of both teams out there. It seemed like there were frequent pile ups on every turn. There were people all over the place, the team with the most people standing would come out victorious. There are way too many hits to name but a couple stand out.  Killustrator pulled off the most incredible move RE and I have ever seen.  She was having a hard time in the pack until she decided to propel herself off Milfinator’s face!  I would classify this as being almost as impressive as a leg whip.  Mommy’s little monster also took a hard fall toward the end but had a very quick recovery while launching herself ahead of the pack.  It didn’t surprise me because Monster told us before the match that she was ready to bring it. This was a clasic battle between a team playing as a team, using proper communication, and just being out there for yourself. Overall with all the great hits and the improved 20ft calls, this match-up was very enjoyable to watch.

whoo! Love to see my Steamies doing well!

I’ve got a feeling the Knockers are going to have a huge turn-around next game. They’re jamming line up has changed a lot and it’s hard to tell who they should be putting on the line. They’ve got so many versatile players who can go in the pack or on the jam line, planning Knockers line ups has got to be tough.

I don’t know who played what positions on Saturday (when they start live broadcasting BRRG bouts in DC, I’ll buy a TV), but I would like to the star on the heads of Knoxious Mallory, Concrete Blondie, and Check Republic more.

Geez Pain, its like we share the same wavelengths here. I could not agree with you more. Knockers have all the talent, they are just struggling to figure who fits best in what spot. I think they need to do some type of “Top Three Spots” each skater on their team wants, and have them compete for those spots. I don’t know, I love these girls and I hate to see them struggling.

i wouldn’t classify playing dirty and illegal as \incredible\. Maybe if we all punched our way through the pack we’d have better luck. I’m sure she didn’t mean to punch anyone in the face, but you commending it is lame! booooooooooooo!
I did hear you cheer for me, it made my heart warm <3
Knockers aren’t struggling to find who fits what spot. We are struggling to realize the penalty box isn’t a good spot for anyone! Especially jammers! ahhhhhhhh

incredible: “beyond belief or understanding”. I’m not sure they were commending me ;)

Also, I don’t think that an open palm qualifies as a “punch”. Not that it excuses it, but there’s a difference between punching someone and catching my balance on the face of someone who just can’t stay on her feet.
