I am excited for this bout; after missing the past two derby events, I am hurting for some derby action! I love all-star bouts; the level of game play is fantastic: cut-throat, full of action, and a lot of brutality! Again I feel this team is not on our level; though they have played some tough teams, which may have helped them tighten their skills. Also we have a 4 hour drive ahead of us, which should not have effect, but you never know. I know that drives always tire me out, but that is because I drive like a mad-man! So make sure you relax, drive easy, don’t yell at people who drive like crap, or freak out on people who throw cigarette butts out their windows (my biggest pet peeve)!
It is most likely that Turn Two will be slightly late, (save us a seat). I have my class which runs till four, but I am going to shoot for leaving at three and having my friend finish the class. So keep your eyes out for us! Actually you will not need to, you will know when my loud ass arrives!
As always, whoop some ass, but be careful; we got finals in next week!

Unfortunately I had to miss this bout, I had some events that came up that forced me to stay here. I will let you know soon as it finalizes. I did hear of a total annihilation out there, 271 – 32 way to not let up on them, we should have sent the B-Team out there to take care of our light work, Next year we should play, Cincy, Grand Raggidy (Home) OHRG, and a few others, we need challenges! Congratulations on a complete and total ass whooping!

Gem City has been around as long as Burning River, and is currently WFTDA, however they’ve suffered a high turnover and losses as far as skaters go. With the powerful Cincinnati Roller Girls very close by, you can imagine the pool of skaters gets a little slim. The reason they played us is that they’re trying to get back to an active status within the WFTDA rankings, and since it is WFTDA sanctioned it does effect our rankings. Unfortunately we kind of had to blow them out to prove that we deserve to be ranked higher than some other WFTDA leagues that recently played them, who also won their games by a large margin.
I have to give them a little recognition, one skater from Gem City told me she had only been skating with them since MARCH!! And I think there were several on the track in that same boat. So basically they have several players that have skated less than the rookies on our league and had to play us, yikes! At the very least they got an education. That’s how our All-Stars learned!
