At the time, she was kicking so much ass as a jammer, it seemed silly to keep her in the pack despite being an effective blocker. Nice that TT has more jammers now so we can see her block more. She shouldn't have been the least bit surprised at the triple threat nomination - she's a premier triple-threat on a team with an inordinate number of triple-threat players. Also, she's stinky.
