Watching those two teams play I could really see a huge improvement in blocking and teamwork over last year, so congrats to all for all your hard work. I know the Steamers were a little bummed that the crowd was behind the Pinups but they were coming off the big loss from last month and skating short so its hard not to pull for them. While everyone played at a high level, I just have to point out a few of the ladies that I thought had great days: Professor Booty - This years triple threat and the best hit of the day to lay out Primp Daddy on turn 2 (where else!), and I won't mention the whif on the next time around... Dagney Tagurt - Awesome blocking up front for her team, great to see you back in skates Slaughteramma Mama - Jammers get all the glory, but blockers make it work. Watching her hold up Rogue Cheddar was awesome. I could mention more, but it would take up a whole page. The Hellbombers are still the top team and prove it every week, but it was cool to see every team out there showing that the gap is narrowing. Now I have to sit on a doughnut at work (it's a powdered doughnut too - it's making a mess of my outfit). Thoughts on the Pinups victory - as the league gets more established, the skaters become better athletes with better endurance.
